TRANSPORTATION IN VENICE, FL

Driving in Venice is fairly easy. North and south of the city, US 41 is a four- to eight-lane highway that offers virtually unlimited access. As it approaches the city of Venice, it splits into US 41 Business and US 41 By-pass. The city is also close to Interstate 75, which connects most cities on the Gulf Coast with the Atlantic coast, south-central Florida, and Miami. 

With the exception of US 41, Venice is also quite bike-friendly. The roads are mostly flat and traffic is fairly slow. There are also scenic bike paths along the Intercoastal Waterway and in other nearby areas. 

There are several airports nearby, including Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE), Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), and Tampa International Airport (TPA).

The Venice Farmer’s Market is a popular event that is held every Saturday in downtown Venice. Centennial Park downtown is also the perfect place to enjoy concerts under the gazebo while the kids play at the Intergenerational Fountain splash pad.
